Part time (22.5 hours a week)

Befriend a Child are looking to recruit a Family Support Co-ordinator to offer practical help and emotional support to families who are experiencing difficulties due to being marginalised in their communities and struggling with hardship.

The postholder will help deliver Befriend a Child’s Family Support Project. The focus of the role will be to provide support to service users, empowering them to address various challenges, reducing problems and risks as well as signposting them to organisations in their local community who can also support them. 

This is a varied role and is ideal for a compassionate and non-judgemental social care or health professional hoping to make a positive impact to the lives of disadvantaged families across Aberdeen.

The contract is a fixed term 12 month contact in the first instance, with an option to extend subject to funding. A full clean driving licence and access to a car is essential due to the nature of the role.
