Deciding on a challenge can be a difficult decision to make but the team at Befriend a Child has it covered.  We have selected eight third-party events to help get you started. 

There is a huge variety of races and distances to choose from, so there is bound to be a challenge that suits you, your team and/or your family!

RIDE THE NORTH – 24TH AUGUST

Ride the North ventures to Angus this August to offer a new route and a new challenge to keen cyclists. Choose from the 70 or 100-mile routes, equip yourself with some padding and hop on your saddle!

BREWDOG RIDE OUT SPORTIVE – 25TH AUGUST

Fancy a beer and a burger? You’ll need to work for it first!

Hop on your bike and take on your choice of the Full Pint (60 miles) or the Half Pint (34 miles) challenge from BrewDog’s HQ in Ellon. Take in the stunning views of the Aberdeenshire coastline and rolling harvest fields before rolling back into Ellon for a yummy burger and a refreshing beer or soft drink.

BEAST RACE – 21ST SEPTEMBER

Knockburn Loch is once more the setting for this popular Aberdeenshire event. Challenge yourself with over 30 obstacles such as the Harsh Marsh, Launch Pad and The Mangle! 

Bring together a group of your friends or colleagues and take on the Beast!

ILLUMINATOR RUN – 26TH OCTOBER

As the dark nights draw in and Hallowe’en approaches, why not take on the Illuminator Night Trail Race? Set in the stunning Glen Tanar Estate, choose from three distance challenges (Illuminator 8k, 15k or 15mile), gear up, lights at the ready, get set… Go!
