Befriend a Child are recruiting volunteer befrienders and mentors to join their 1:1 programmes supporting children and young people living in difficult life circumstances across Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire.

We are looking for volunteers who are able to give 12 months commitment to be a positive, trusted and fun role model for a local young person. In their role of befriender or mentor, volunteers will meet up with their young person on a regular basis so they can build a trusting friendship and take part in activities that will develop the young person’s skills and experiences.

We are looking for intandem mentors for young people aged between 8 and 14 years old who are looked after at home by their local authority and need some support and guidance from a positive adult role model.
