By setting up a regular donation to Befriend a Child, you’ll be helping us continue our life-changing programmes for children and young people in Aberdeen and Shire who need us most.
Many of the children we support are growing up in challenging and often chaotic circumstances. Because of this, they miss out on opportunities that many of us take for granted. Through our programme, each child is matched with a trained volunteer befriender or mentor, who is a trusted friend and positive adult role model bringing consistency, encouragement and care into their lives.
Volunteers take children out regularly to enjoy different activities, opening the door to new experiences and opportunities. Your ongoing support with just £5 a month can help children build confidence and self-esteem, discover new interests and skills and most importantly allow them to have fun, something every child deserves.
