Befriend a Child is delighted to announce that its spectacular Emerald City Ball has raised an incredible £34,842 to support local children, young people and families across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
Held at The Chester Hotel, the Wizard of Oz-inspired event welcomed guests for a dazzling evening of celebration, entertainment and fundraising, transporting attendees over the rainbow to the magical Land of Oz.
Guests arrived to a beautifully themed venue before taking their seats for a delicious three-course dinner, surrounded by emerald-inspired décor and touches of magic throughout the room. The evening was packed with unforgettable moments, including exciting fundraising activities, spellbinding entertainment and plenty of opportunities for guests to support the charity’s life-changing work.
Hosted by Kevin Littlejohn, the event featured stunning performances from Right Here Productions, Music 4 U and Silver City Soul Revue, who kept guests entertained throughout the evening and on the dance floor long into the night.
The funds raised from the evening will help Befriend a Child continue its vital work supporting children, young people and families who are facing difficult life circumstances, helping them build confidence, resilience and brighter futures.
Katie Kyle, Head of Fundraising and Marketing at Befriend a Child, said:
