About the Giving Tree

We are delighted to launch our award winning Giving Tree Appeal to ensure the children we support and their siblings have a magical Christmas with presents to open on Christmas morning and exciting new experiences to look forward to in the coming year.

Members of the public can take part in the appeal by picking up a tag from one of our Giving Tree partners across Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire. The tag will ask the individual to either donate a Christmas gift for a local child or donate money which can go towards an experience. We then ask you to drop off your gifts (unwrapped) to Befriend a Child, 9 Bon Accord Square, Aberdeen, AB11 6DJ.

Giving Tree Partners

There is still time for local businesses and organisations across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire to support our award-winning Giving Tree Appeal by becoming a Giving Tree partner.

Christmas can be a difficult time of year for many of the families we support. Our appeal ensures that the children and young people we support have presents to open on Christmas morning and experiences to look forward to in 2024.

When you become a Giving Tree Partner, you will be provided with Giving Tree tags to hang on your Christmas tree for staff, clients, and customers to take. Participants can then either purchase a gift for a local young person or donate money towards experiences and outings for local children in the year ahead.

We also have a virtual option for the campaign if companies work more remotely or you would like to send virtual tags to clients.
