This year we are challenging you to take on our 245 Challenge to raise money for the 245 local children we support each year.

Getting involved is simple – challenge yourself to take on 245 of anything you like, so long as it is a challenge to complete, whilst raising money for Befriend a Child. This could involve running, walking, swimming, climbing, learning words in a new language, picking up litter, completing puzzles, baking, singing, dancing, drawing, painting, or crafting, you can get as creative as you like with your chosen challenge!

By choosing to take on the 245 Challenge and raise money for Befriend a Child, you will be playing an important role in ensuring we can continue our programmes and projects for the 245 young people we support each year. Your support will give these local children the chance to experience more of what life has to offer, giving them the best chance in life to thrive.

All you need to do to get started is:

  1. Decide if you are doing the challenge solo or rallying together a team of friends, family, or colleagues.
  2. Choose your challenge. This could be something new you want to challenge yourself to complete, or something you already love. If you would like some inspiration, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us!
  3. Decide what your challenge involves. Is it items, miles, kilometres, lengths, centimetres, minutes, hours, days, or something else?
  4. Pick your timeframe. Do you want to complete your challenge in two weeks? One month? Over the course of the year? It’s completely up to you.
  5. Set up your JustGiving page using this link: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/245challenge, set your fundraising target and get ready to begin - good luck!
