Regular Giving Donate Fundraise If you set up regular donations to Befriend a Child, you will be playing a pivotal role in ensuring we can continue our befriending programme for local children. Many of the children we support at Befriend a Child are vulnerable and growing up in very difficult life circumstances. Their chaotic home lives can prevent them from experiencing things many of us take for granted. When these children are matched with a befriender, they have a new trusted friend and positive adult role model that is consistent in their lives. Their befriender will take them out on a regular basis to take part in a range of different activities, allowing the children to experience more of what life has to offer. In time, these outings can help the children grow in confidence and self-esteem, learn new life interests and skills, take part in activities that may otherwise not be available to them and most importantly it allows them the chance to make happy childhood memories which is something every child should be able to do.
