Can you help Lewis?

Lewis is a 12-year-old boy who enjoys gaming, being active, trying new sports, getting outdoors and spending time with someone he can have a laugh with. Like most children his age, he wants the chance to have fun, build confidence and enjoy new experiences, but life hasn’t always made that easy.

Lewis lives at home with his dad and has faced more challenges than many young people his age. Following the loss of his mum, alongside his dad’s ongoing health difficulties, Lewis has carried emotional worries and responsibilities from a very young age. Despite showing incredible resilience, these experiences have taken their toll, affecting his confidence, emotional wellbeing and even his attendance at school.

Right now, Lewis needs the chance to simply be a child again.

A volunteer mentor could offer Lewis regular time away from his day-to-day worries, whether that’s grabbing something to eat, kicking a football around, exploring the outdoors, trying a new activity or just spending time with someone who listens and cares. Those 2–3 hour outings twice a month would give him something positive to look forward to while helping him build confidence, develop healthy relationships and create happy memories.

Most importantly, Lewis needs a trusted adult role model who can provide encouragement, consistency and support. Someone who believes in him, celebrates his achievements and reminds him that he isn’t facing life’s challenges alone.

By giving just a few hours of your time each month, you could help Lewis rediscover his confidence, enjoy his childhood and realise that brighter days are ahead.

Could you be the person to make a difference in Lewis’s life?
