Help Us Turn a Frown Upside Down

Since 1975, Befriend A Child have grown from a small organisation providing 1:1 befriending for just a handful of vulnerable young people in Aberdeen. Today, we work with more than 160 children aged 4+ in the Aberdeen area, with a dedicated volunteer base of over 170.

Our expansion has been considerable over the past decade in particular, relocating to a central Base Unit which provides offices for our team of employees, and a safe environment for befriending activities. We are an ambitious organisation and realise the need to expand our services still further to ensure many more young people in vulnerable situations, have access to befriending.

The need for our service is increasing every day and as a result, legacies are becoming a vital part of our growth and development. By including Befriend A Child in your will, YOU can play a part in that expansion in years to come, making a very real difference to the lives of local children.
