The Base Unit at our offices in Bon Accord Square is a safe and welcoming environment for volunteers and children to use during their fortnightly outings. There are three rooms available for bookings, offering a range of activities from baking to simply chilling out. The Lorraine Craig Room Named after one of our supporters who sadly passed away in 2009, this is the TV lounge area and boasts a combination of funky décor and soft seating for relaxation. The room includes a flat screen TV, Ipod, consoles and lots of books for quiet time. Kitchen A popular room with our youngsters, the kitchen can be, and has been, used for everything from chocolate brownies to Chinese meals! Volunteers are encouraged to bring and share recipes, and of course, any samples for the staff are most welcome! Basement Pool table, air hockey, dance mat, board games – they are all available in the multi purpose basement room of the Base Unit. Group sessions can also be held here on a monthly basis, ranging from arts and crafts activities, to Halloween pumpkin carving! The walls colourfully depict the Aberdeen beach scene to make for a vibrant atmosphere. |
